RORO
[アメリカンHIPHOPアーティスト・音楽プロデューサー・ソングライター ・ラッパー・ラジオパーソナリティ・ 国際番組プロデューサー）
米国フロリダ州オーランド出身。
父親は90’sにサウスHIPHOPを揺るがしたマイアミベース・エラのパイオニア・プロデューサー・ラッパー“Lil’ Ko-Chees”、そして祖父はシカゴソウルのギターリストと、音楽一家に生まれ育ったサラブレッド。
■ Lil’ Ko-Chees（父：プロデューサー・ラッパー）
ROROは音楽家である父親の影響を受け、幼いころからラップやビートを作りはじめ、7歳でラップに目覚め、８歳でキッズグループ「ファイブ・リル・ショーティース」( 5 Lil Shorty’s ) のメインラッパーとしてメジャーデビュー。その後、12歳でソロ活動に移し、セルフプロデュース活動をしながら多くの米国インデペンデントアーティストに楽曲提供を行うなどアーティストプロデュースを開始。
当時、フロリダ州で問題になっていた銃犯罪を減らすためにプロリダ州検事によって企画されたプロジェクトのメインアーティストに抜擢され、この運動で配布されたCD「ラップ・アゲンスト・バイオンスVol.1」にセルフプロデュース楽曲を提供。メディアやイベント、全米のTV番組・CMなどに出演し、人々に大きな影響を与え、特望の 1st ソロシングル「スタークオリティー」をリリースし、大ヒットを飛ばす。
■”5Lil Shorty’s”のメインラッパーとしてデビュー（当時９歳）
2008年、チャリティー企画イベントのゲストパフォーマーとして来日したのをきっかけに日本でも活動の場を広げ、日本のバイリンガルシンガーソングライターRISA KUMONと共に2012年にR2 RECORDZを設立。日本とアメリカで音楽制作、プロデュース、ソングライター、ラッパー、ラジオ番組制作・ホスト活動を行い、イベントやツアーなどでも国内外の数多くのアーティストらとフィ―チャーしている。
2013年には、独自ジャンル ”Hiphop South Flava” を確立した 1st アルバム「Road to Sucess」をグローバルリリース。特徴的なサウスベースサウンドとソウルフルなメローさをミックスしたグルーブを創り上げた。日本では黒船版として全国レコードショップの洋楽HIPHOP欄のハイライトを飾った。
また、シングルカット曲 ”Doesn’t mean I’m lost” は日本人バイリンガルシンガーソングライターRisa KumonをフィーチャーしHiphopファン以外からも絶賛される楽曲となった。
メディアでは、番組プロデューサーやホストとして活躍し、福岡LOVE FMではHIPHOPカルチャーのエジュケーショナル番組「RORO RADIO」東京InterFM897 ではHIPHOP・RnBに特化した国際番組「R2 RADIO」をプロデュースし、ホストを務めた。
現在、R2 RADIOは米国HIPHOPグループ”ザ・ファーサイド”が運営しているLA拠点のグローバルメディアネットワーク「Pharcyde TV」とローンチし、新たな動画番組となり、引き続き番組のホスト兼プロデューサーとして多くの来日アーティストや国際的に活躍している日本のアーティストをインタビューしている。( Kirk Franklin, Corinne Bailey Rae, Brian Mcknight, Maxi Priest, Mr Doodle, dj honda, Terumasa Hino, dj Jazzy Jeff, dj Qbert, dj Krush, AK-69, Take6, Stylistics…and more)
また、ラッパーとしてテレビCMを含む企業広告制作に参加（アサヒビール・スミノフ・Clear for men・パンテーン・ホンダe等）TV番組ではNHK Eテレの教育バラエティ番組「知りたガールと学ボーイ」にて芸人のミキ兄弟に英語でラップを教える先生として出演。
音楽シーンではアーティストへの楽曲提供やプロデュースをするなど現在、東京を拠点にワールドワイドに活躍している。

RORO
Recording artist, Record producer, songwriter and Radio/Media personality.
Roro’s passion for music is undeniable. His eternal love for the art form will always be what defines him and continues to drive him forward. As a recording artist, record producer, songwriter and profound radio personality, the Tokyo-based artist has built up a formidable name for his multiplex of talents. Commonly referred to as “Hip-Hop’s Best Kept Secret”, Roro is making his mark as an innovator, and one seeking to bring positive change through music.
He was born as Rolandis Ramsey in Orlando, Florida, and has had music coursing through his DNA, passed down from generation to generation. Not only was his grandfather the guitarist for a popular soul group in the early ’70s, but his father, Hip-Hop Rapper/Producer Little Ko-Chees was also spearheading the Miami bass scene in 1993. Under his father’s guidance, Roro started his journey into rapping and producing at an early age, hoping to follow in the footsteps of his veteran father.
Lil’ Ko-Chees
By the age of 7, Roro started his first rap group, ‘5 Lil Shorties’. From there, they went on to create an album, perform across the United States and even on national television (Jenny Jones Show). Although his time with 5 Lil Shorties came to end, the doorways to follow were wide open.
Roro has since participated in numerous major music productions. In his teens, he headed the “Rap Against Violence” campaign, a popular public service announcement to stop gun violence. He later went on to produce and feature on Risa Kumon’s iTunes #1 Christmas Covers EP and participated in commercial music production as a rapper recording vocals for Honda, Clear for men, Pantene, Asahi beer, Smirnoff and more!
He has also appeared on Japanese national television (Fuji TV, NHK, Spaceshower Tv, TVS, NCCTV), released his debut album ‘Road to Success’ and performed at a plethora of major events and festivals around Asia. His success has also taken him on on a international tour with world-renowned Japanese artists, Hino Terumasa and Dj Honda.
Roro went on to produce his own shows — Roro Radio on Lovefm 76.1mhz in Fukuoka, and R2 Radio on InterFm89.7mhz in Tokyo, which have been broadcasted in over 12 cities nationwide.

Today, Roro is working on his next solo project, while producing an album for upcoming Japanese singer-songwriter, Risa Kumon. He has also partnered up with US Hip-Hop group, The Pharcyde to broadcast the R2 Radio Show from Tokyo to the world via the Pharcyde TV network. Here, he has interviewed renowned artists including Kirk Franklin, Corinne Bailey Rae, Maxi Priest, Brian Mcknight, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Terumasa Hino, DJ Krush and many more. Additionally, he continues to release new music via his imprint, R2 Recordz Music Group, with his aim being to bridge the gap between all forms of music, cultures and languages from around the globe.
